This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/ymikimonokia/ymk-search/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
Updates itself. It ships its own updater, so new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates.

AJAX live-search for WooCommerce shops. Shows results in real time as the user types, with optional SKU search and category filtering.

Integrates automatically with ymk-hidden-cats: when that plugin is active, hidden categories are excluded from search results without any configuration.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8+
  • PHP 7.4+
  • WooCommerce
  • Theme must provide #search-modal, #search-modal-inner and #datafetch in its HTML

Installation

  1. Upload ymk-search to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate through Plugins
  3. Go to Settings → YMK Search to configure options

Options

Option Default Description
AJAX search enabled On Live-search results while typing (min. 3 chars)
SKU search Off Include products matching by SKU reference
Category filter Off Filter results by ?category=slug in URL

Integration with ymk-hidden-cats

No configuration needed. If ymk-hidden-cats is active, ymk_hidden_cats_get_slugs() is called automatically and those categories are excluded from both AJAX results and normal search queries.
