🔧 Installation

Via WordPress Admin (Recommended)

1. Download the plugin ZIP file
2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New
3. Click Upload Plugin and select the ZIP
4. Click Install Now then Activate
5. Navigate to Review Manager in admin menu

Manual Installation

1. Extract ZIP to /wp-content/plugins/advanced-review-manager/
2. Go to Plugins page and activate
3. Access settings via Review Manager menu

Database Setup

Tables are created automatically on activation. If you see a warning:

1. Go to Review Manager → Dashboard
2. Click "Create Database Tables Now" button
3. Or run create-database-tables-optimized.sql manually

⚙️ Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Configure Basic Settings

Go to Review Manager → Settings

1. Enable Reminders - Check the box
2. Reminder Days - Set to 7 (send 7 days after order completion)
3. From Name - Your store name (e.g., "John's Shop")
4. From Email - Your email (e.g., noreply@yourstore.com)
5. Enable QR Code - Leave checked for mobile users
6. Click Save Settings

Step 2: Verify Custom Landing Page

1. In Settings, find "Use Custom Review Landing Page"
2. Toggle should be ON (blue)
3. Look for green checkmark showing page detected
4. Page URL: https://yoursite.com/submit-review/

Step 3: Customize Email Template

Go to Review Manager → Email Template

1. Edit Template A (default):
   • Subject: "We'd love your feedback! ⭐"
   • Heading: "How did we do?"
   • Message: Customize greeting and call-to-action
   • Button Text: "Write My Review"
   • Button Color: Choose your brand color
2. Click Save Template

Step 4: Test the System

1. Create a test order and mark it Completed
2. Check Review Manager → Dashboard to see pending reminder
3. Or go to Bulk Actions and click Send Now immediately
4. Check your email and click the review link
5. Verify landing page shows product with star rating form

Custom Page

The plugin creates a page automatically, but you can customize:

1. Go to Pages → All Pages
2. Find "Submit Your Review"
3. Edit page title, add content above/below shortcode
4. Change slug if needed (update in Settings)

🐛 Troubleshooting

Emails Not Sending

Solution:

1. Go to Settings → General in WordPress
2. Verify email settings
3. Install WP Mail SMTP plugin for SMTP delivery
4. Check spam folder
5. Contact hosting provider about email limits

Review Link Shows 404

Solution:

1. Go to Settings → Permalinks
2. Click Save Changes (flushes rewrite cache)
3. Verify page exists at /submit-review/
4. Check toggle is ON in Review Manager Settings

Old Orders Not Appearing in Bulk Actions

Cause: Plugin searches orders with statuses: wc-completed, wc-processing, publish, completed

Solution: If orders use custom status, they won't appear (expected behavior)

Database Tables Missing

Solution:

1. Go to Review Manager → Dashboard
2. Red warning banner will show missing tables
3. Click "Create Database Tables Now"
4. Refresh page to verify

Internal Server Error (500)

Cause: Syntax error or memory limit

Solution:

1. Enable WordPress debug mode
2. Check wp-content/debug.log
3. Increase PHP memory limit to 256M
4. Contact support with error details
