This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

Adds autoplay, hidden controls, automatic closing, and close/reset behavior to Vimeo videos in Divi overlays. No admin page or configuration screen is required.

Description

KO – Vimeo Enhancements connects a Divi opener to a Vimeo video inside a Divi overlay. When the opener is clicked, the Vimeo video starts automatically with its player controls hidden. When playback finishes, the plugin activates the existing Divi close element automatically. When the close element is clicked manually, playback pauses and returns to the beginning.

Add these class names in Divi under Advanced > CSS ID & Classes > CSS Class:

  • ko-vimeo-trigger — add to the Rive module, Button module, or other element that opens the overlay.
  • ko-vimeo-overlay — add to the full-screen Section containing the Divi Video module.
  • ko-vimeo-close — add to the Icon module or other element that closes the overlay.

Enter class names without the leading period. Keep the Divi Interactions that show the overlay from the trigger and hide the overlay from the close element.

For a page with multiple Vimeo overlays, give each overlay a unique CSS ID and add a data-ko-vimeo-target attribute to its trigger. The attribute value should be a CSS selector such as #reel-video-overlay.

Installation

  1. Upload the ko-vimeo-enhancements folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate KO – Vimeo Enhancements.
  3. Add the three required CSS classes to the appropriate Divi elements.
  4. Use a normal Vimeo URL in the Divi Video module; no autoplay query parameter is needed.
