Install

The author publishes release zips, so WP-CLI can install straight from GitHub:

wp plugin install https://github.com/webmandesign/internet-explorer-compatibility/releases/download/1.0.0/internet-explorer-compatibility.zip

Declares an update source (https://github.com/webmandesign/internet-explorer-compatibility), so updates arrive through the plugin's own updater.

Internet Explorer Compatibility

Provides compatibility JavaScript for CSS variables support in Internet Explorer browsers.

Download

Download the current plugin version ZIP file from GitHub releases page.

Installation

Unzip the plugin download file and upload internet-explorer-compatibility folder into the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the "Plugins" menu in WordPress.
Plugin has no options, works immediately after activation.

Updating

You can update the plugin manually by downloading the latest ZIP file from GitHub releases page and uploading it to your server via FTP.

Or, better, you can install and activate additional GitHub Updater plugin which will take care of this plugin automatic updates via WordPress dashboard. (Just like with plugins hosted at WordPress.org.)
