Install
No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:
wp plugin install https://github.com/we-wp/advanced-invoices-for-woocommerce/archive/refs/heads/main.zipShips its own WordPress updater (Update URI header), so new versions show up under Dashboard → Updates.
Create numbered PDF invoices from saved WooCommerce orders. Add your business details, a local logo, heading colour and additional invoice text. Free includes 1,000 lifetime invoice issuances per store; existing documents, exports, credits and corrections remain available at the limit.

Download advanced-invoices-for-woocommerce-0.1.0.zip from the release assets. GitHub's generated source archives do not contain the packaged dependencies and are not the installer. Upload the installer through Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, activate it, then open WooCommerce → Invoices.
What this release does
- Manually preview and issue one invoice per saved order.
- Reserve sequential
INV-,CR-andCOR-numbers in a database transaction. - Retain the issued customer, business, line and total snapshot; preserve generated PDF bytes.
- Generate itemized credit notes from existing WooCommerce refunds without issuing a payment refund.
- Add non-financial correction notes linked to the original invoice.
- Protect PDF and individual JSON downloads with a dedicated merchant capability and WordPress nonces.
- Export matching invoice records through WordPress privacy requests, including guest billing email matches.
There is one configurable template. No arbitrary HTML/PHP templates, advanced numbering rules, automated email, remote rendering, plugin telemetry or government e-invoice submission is included. The merchant supplies and reviews invoice wording. No jurisdiction certification is claimed.
Pro is planned, not available for purchase. Its optional launch waitlist lives on the product website; the plugin does not collect waitlist addresses.
Requirements and recovery
WordPress 7.0+, WooCommerce 11.1+, PHP 8.3+ with DOM, GD and mbstring, and transactional InnoDB storage. Documents support up to 200 lines. Activate separately on each Multisite store; network activation is refused.
Deactivation and deletion retain invoice tables and counters. Back up your database and exported documents. Store copies and non-production WordPress environments cannot issue production numbers. A store URL change pauses new issuance. An old backup may lose issued documents and numbers: reconcile retained records before recovery and never run two issuing copies. Automated migration, recovery and erasure tools are outside this first release. See readme.txt.
Build and verify
composer.lock pins the PDF dependencies; tools/composer.lock pins PHP-Scoper. Neither Composer plugin execution nor project scripts are enabled during the build.
python3 tools/build.py
composer audit --locked
The build isolates dependency namespaces, adjusts upstream dynamic class factories, regenerates the autoloader, excludes development executables and writes a deterministic installer ZIP. Upstream licences remain included. See third-party notices.
Integration tests in tests/ refuse to run outside the exact disposable database wewp_invoices_test_20260906. They erase synthetic plugin fixtures in that schema. Never change the guard to run against a real store. Run through WP-CLI with WordPress and WooCommerce loaded; then run python3 tests/concurrency.py for the eight-process allowance boundary check. The tests cover immutable records/PDFs, repeat issuance, quota boundaries, credits/corrections at the cap, copied-store blocking and privacy matching. See QA.md for the tested release evidence and Plugin Check findings.
