Install
Upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

Check releases for the latest version of the plugin.

Download the stripe-terminal-for-woocommerce.zip file.

Install & activate the plugin via
WP Admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. -
Go to
WP Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe Terminaland enter your Stripe secret key. Note: you do not need to enable the Stripe Terminal here, the Terminal will be enabled for the POS in the next step. -
Go to
WP Admin > WooCommerce POS > Settings > Checkout > enablethe Stripe Terminal gateway.
Web checkout (classic + Blocks)
To accept Terminal payments from the online store checkout (in addition to POS):
- Enable Enable Stripe Terminal for web checkout under
WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe Terminal. - Stripe Terminal will appear on both classic shortcode checkout and the WooCommerce Blocks Checkout (Blocks requires WordPress 6.6+; older installs keep classic/POS support and omit Terminal from Blocks checkout only).
- After the customer places the order, they are redirected to the order-pay page to connect a reader and complete the card-present payment.
Abandoning the reader step leaves a pending order, which is standard deferred-gateway behaviour.
