VoiceThisText allows you to easily integrate VoiceThisText with your WordPress site. Automatically generate high-quality AI-powered audio versions of your blog posts, giving your readers the option to listen instead of read.
VoiceThisText connects to your own TTS provider accounts (ElevenLabs, OpenAI, etc.), so you have full control over the voices and models used.
Requirements
- A VoiceThisText account with API access
- A connected TTS provider (e.g., ElevenLabs, OpenAI)
- PHP 8.0 or higher
- WordPress 6.0 or higher
Installation
- Download the plugin and upload to your
/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
- Go to Settings > VoiceThisText and enter your API key
- Select your TTS provider and configure your preferred voice and player settings
Usage
- Edit any post in WordPress
- In the VoiceThisText metabox, click "Generate" to create an audio version
- The audio player will be automatically added to your post (based on your settings)
- Use "Regenerate" to update the audio after making changes to your content

- A script is loaded from VoiceThisText

.entry-content) - As audio plays, corresponding text in your content is highlighted
