WooCommerce GST Tax Report

A custom WooCommerce plugin to generate GST-inclusive tax reports month-wise or year-wise. This report helps store owners who sell products with GST (10%) and Zero Rate (no tax) classes, and need a breakdown of price excluding tax, tax applied, and gross including tax.

✨ Features

  • Generate reports by Year + Month, or the entire year.

  • Show detailed breakdown:

    • Price Excluding Tax
    • Tax Amount
    • Gross Including Tax

  • Handles GST tax class (10%) and Zero-rate correctly.

  • Order ID + Date appear once per order (merged cells for multiple products).

  • Download reports as CSV for accounting.

  • Works with both Processing and Completed WooCommerce orders.

📦 Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository.

  2. Upload the folder woocommerce-gst-tax-report into your WordPress site’s wp-content/plugins/ directory.

  3. Activate the plugin from WordPress Admin → Plugins.

🚀 Usage

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to: WooCommerce → GST Tax Report

  2. Select:

    • Year (e.g., 2025)
    • Month (e.g., March, or "All" for the full year)

  3. Click Generate Report.

  4. The report table will display:

    • Order ID (merged for multiple products)
    • Order Date
    • Product Name
    • Tax Class (GST / Zero-rate)
    • Price Excl. Tax
    • Tax Amount
    • Gross Incl. Tax

  5. To download as CSV, click the Download CSV button.

⚙️ How Tax is Calculated

  • GST Products → Report assumes 10% GST included in gross price.

    • Excl. Tax = Gross / 1.1
    • Tax = Gross - Excl. Tax

  • Zero Rate Products →

    • Excl. Tax = Gross
    • Tax = 0

📥 CSV Export

The CSV file includes the same data as the table:

Order ID, Order Date, Product, Tax Class, Price Excl. Tax, Tax, Gross Incl. Tax

🔧 Notes

  • Only Completed and Processing orders are included.
  • GST rate is currently hardcoded at 10%. You can adjust this inside the plugin code ($tax_rate = 0.10;).
  • Designed for Australian GST but can be adapted to other regions.
