Major Changes in 2.0.0

Version 2.0.0 is a complete overhaul of the plugin. All legacy WP_Ajaxify prefixes have been migrated to ViKo_WP_Ajaxify. If you are upgrading from 1.x, review the following breaking changes before updating:

Breaking Changes

• Plugin renamed — from "WP Ajaxify" to "ViKo WP Ajaxify".
• All PHP namespaces changed from WP_Ajaxify to ViKo_WP_Ajaxify.
• All PHP constants renamed from WP_AJAXIFY_* to VIKO_WP_AJAXIFY_*.
• All option keys migrated from _wp_ajaxify_* to _viko_wp_ajaxify_* — existing settings will not carry over automatically.
• All CSS classes and animation names changed from wp-ajaxify-* to viko-wp-ajaxify-*.
• All JS functions and variables renamed to use the viko_* prefix.
• Text domain changed from wp-ajaxify to viko-wp-ajaxify — update any __() / _e() calls in custom code.
• Include files renamed to drop the class- prefix (e.g. class-ajaxify.php → ajaxify.php).
• Minimum PHP requirement raised to 8.0.
• Package manager migrated from pnpm to bun — use bun install instead of pnpm install.

What's New

• New plugin file with ViKo branding and ASCII art header.
• PHPDoc annotations across all classes with proper @package, @since, @var, and @return tags.
• Automated CI workflows for linting (PHPCS + Prettier) and release (zip + GitHub Release).
• Husky git hooks (commit-msg, pre-commit, pre-push).
• ESLint 9 flat config, Prettier, Stylelint, and Commitlint configurations.
• Build script (bin/build.sh) using rsync and zip.
• Makepot script (bin/makepot.sh) for translation generation.
• Text domain loading via load_plugin_textdomain().

Removed (1.x)

• Old wp-ajaxify.php plugin file.
• Legacy config files (.eslintrc.json, .stylelintrc.json, .npmrc, .gitattributes, .distignore).
• Old build-release.yml workflow and bin/build-zip.sh.
• pnpm-lock.yaml (replaced by bun.lock).
