Privacy-friendly PDF tools for WordPress that process documents directly in the browser.

Features

Velvet PDF Tools v0.1.0 includes:

• Merge PDFs - combine multiple PDF files into one document.
• Extract Pages - create a new PDF containing selected pages.
• Images to PDF - convert JPG and PNG images into a multi-page PDF.

Privacy

PDF processing takes place locally in the user's browser.

Velvet PDF Tools does not:

• upload selected PDFs or images to the WordPress server;
• send documents to an external PDF-processing service;
• include analytics or telemetry;
• track plugin users.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.0 or later
• PHP 7.4 or later

Installation

From a release ZIP

1. Download the latest installable ZIP from the GitHub Releases page.
2. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
3. Upload the plugin ZIP.
4. Activate Velvet PDF Tools.
5. Open Tools > PDF Tools.

WordPress.org

Velvet PDF Tools has been submitted to the WordPress.org Plugin Directory and is currently awaiting review.

Usage

Merge PDFs

Select two or more PDF files and choose Merge and Download.

Extract Pages

Select a PDF and enter pages such as:

1-3,5,8

Then choose Extract and Download.

Images to PDF

Select one or more JPG or PNG images and choose Create PDF and Download.

Browser Processing

The plugin uses pdf-lib for client-side PDF processing. The library is bundled locally with the plugin and is not loaded from a CDN.
