Setup

1. Clone this repo:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/sms-chat-app.git
    cd sms-chat-app

2. Install dependencies:

    npm install

3. Copy .env.example to .env and fill in your Twilio credentials:

    TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID=your_account_sid_here
    TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN=your_auth_token_here
    TWILIO_PHONE_NUMBER=+1xxxxxxxxxx

4. Start the app:

    npm start

   App runs at http://localhost:3000

Deployment

Render.com

• Create a new "Web Service"
• Connect this GitHub repo
• Set environment variables from .env
• Build command: (leave blank or npm install)
• Start command: npm start

Vercel/Heroku

• Deploy as Node.js app, set env variables

Twilio Webhook

• In your Twilio Console, set the "A MESSAGE COMES IN" webhook to:

    https://your-app-url.onrender.com/sms

Notes

• This demo stores messages in memory (not persistent).
  For production, connect a database (MongoDB, Postgres, Firebase, etc.).
