Install
This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:
wp plugin install https://github.com/uriweb/uri-tides-updater/archive/refs/heads/develop.zipOn Packagist as uriweb/uri-tides-updater:
composer require uriweb/uri-tides-updaterNo built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.
The plugin updates live water temp and tide prediction data from NOAA. Data is pulled from a station in Narragansett Bay. This plugin does not include a graphical display; use URI Tides for that.
How do I get set up?
- Install URI Tides Updater. For multisite networks, activate it only on one site (e.g. the homepage) to avoid cron job duplication.
- Install URI Tides and activate it where you intend to use it. Network-activation may be appropriate.
- Configure the shortcode to taste.
