Install

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

wp plugin install https://github.com/umichcreative/wp-enhancements/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

Ships its own WordPress updater (built-in updater), so new versions show up under Dashboard → Updates.

Wordpress Enhancements

A plugin that provides enhancements to Wordpress by adding or fixing functionality.

  • Enables the proper ancestor and current page classes in the Wordpress Menu's and the BU Navigation Menu plugin when a Custom post type is set to be a child of a page.
  • Better handling of URLs when in a multi-site domain mode with custom domain mapping
  • Allow ability to disable theme update checks against WP.org
  • add "WP Update: false" to the style.css theme header block to disable update check
  • Allow Youtube oembed url parameters (e.g. &rel=0)
  • add "&width=100%" to youtube url for fluid video sizing
