This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/tyxla/quick-rest-api-playground/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

REST API Playground

An extremely very basic REST API console that runs in the wp-admin.

Allows you to send GET or POST requests to the REST API of the site.

How to use

  1. Download and install the plugin in your WordPress installation.
  2. Activate the "REST API Playground" plugin.
  3. Go to Tools -> REST API Playground.
  4. Select the request type (GET or POST).
  5. Input the path of the REST API endpoint you would like to hit.
  6. If you've selected POST, you'll be able to specify request body (in JSON format).
  7. Hit the "Send Request" button.
  8. Inspect the response below.
