Description

Pay in Store for WooCommerce provides a simple payment method that lets customers place an order online and pay in person when they pick it up from your physical store.

This is a modernized, must-use-plugin-ready rewrite of the original Papaki "Pay in Store" gateway, updated for:

Installation

As a regular plugin

1. Upload the wc-pay-in-store folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
3. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and enable "Pay in Store".
4. Click Manage to configure title, description, instructions, and shipping method restrictions.

As a must-use plugin (mu-plugin)

1. Copy the wc-pay-in-store folder to /wp-content/mu-plugins/.

2. Create a loader file at /wp-content/mu-plugins/load-wc-pay-in-store.php with:

3. Configure under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments.

Yes. The plugin declares HPOS compatibility and uses WooCommerce CRUD methods throughout.

Can I restrict this gateway to only show for Local Pickup?

Will uninstalling delete my orders?

No. Uninstall only removes the gateway's own settings option. All orders, customer data, and order notes remain intact.
