A WordPress plugin that automatically generates complete blog posts using Claude AI (for content) and OpenAI (for the featured image), then publishes them to your site — all from a single topic input.

Requirements

Installation

  1. Download or unzip the trushiv-ai-post-generator plugin folder.
  2. Copy the trushiv-ai-post-generator folder into your WordPress wp-content/plugins/ directory (or upload the zip directly via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin).
  3. In the WordPress admin, go to Plugins and activate Trushiv AI Post Generator.

Setup

  1. Go to Trushiv AI Post Generator → Settings in the admin sidebar.
  2. Enter your Anthropic and OpenAI API keys.
  3. Choose your post status (draft / publish), language, and default category.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Note on WordPress 7.0+: Trushiv AI Post Generator uses its own Anthropic/OpenAI API keys and does not route through WordPress 7.0's core AI Client or Connectors system, so it works the same regardless of that feature. If you also run the official AI plugin from WordPress.org with its Connector Approvals experiment enabled, that approval list only governs plugins using WordPress's shared AI connectors — it has no effect on Trushiv AI Post Generator.

Usage

  1. Go to Trushiv AI Post Generator → Generate Post.
  2. Type a topic (for example, "Benefits of Solar Energy in India").
  3. Click Generate & Publish Post.
  4. The plugin generates the content and image, creates the post, and gives you links to edit or view it.

How It Works

  1. The topic is sent to Claude, which returns a structured JSON post (title, content, excerpt, and an image prompt).
  2. The image prompt is sent to OpenAI to generate a featured image.
  3. The image is uploaded to the Media Library.
  4. A new post is created with the generated content and image as its thumbnail.

Security Notes

  • API keys are stored in the WordPress options table. Only users with the manage_options capability can access the plugin pages.
  • All form submissions are protected with WordPress nonces.
