Install

Download auto-activate-auto-updates.zip From the v1.2.0 release on GitHub, Apr 24, 2023

Upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/timnashcouk/auto-activate-auto-updates/releases/download/v1.2.0/auto-activate-auto-updates.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Simple Utility Plugin

Activate as either plugin or MU Plugin will then automatically turn on auto updates for plugins when they are activated turning WordPress Auto Updaters opt out not opt-in
