Install
This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:
wp plugin install https://github.com/thisisalamin/mail-before-cart/archive/refs/heads/main.zipNo built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.
WooCommerce Email Before Add to Cart
A WordPress plugin that requires customers to enter their email address before adding products to cart, enabling better abandoned cart tracking and recovery.

Installation
- Download the plugin ZIP file
- Go to WordPress admin > Plugins > Add New
- Click "Upload Plugin" and choose the downloaded ZIP file
- Click "Install Now" and then "Activate"
Usage
The plugin works automatically after activation:
- An email field appears before the Add to Cart button on all product pages
- Customers must enter their email before adding products to cart
- View captured emails in WooCommerce > Abandoned Emails
Requirements
- WordPress 5.0 or higher
- WooCommerce 3.0 or higher
- PHP 7.2 or higher
Database
The plugin creates a custom table {prefix}_mbcart_tracking with the following structure:
- id (AUTO_INCREMENT)
- email (varchar)
- product_id (bigint)
- product_name (varchar)
- created_at (datetime)
