This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/theosfak/product-url-importer/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A WordPress plugin that allows you to import products from external shop URLs directly into WooCommerce. Simply paste a product URL, review the scraped data, and import it with one click.

Installation

  1. Upload the product-url-importer folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
  3. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active
  4. Go to WooCommerce > Import from URL

Usage

  1. Navigate to WooCommerce > Import from URL in your WordPress admin
  2. Enter the product URL from an external shop
  3. Click Scrape Product Data
  4. Review the scraped data and make any necessary edits
  5. Select product status (Draft or Published)
  6. Click Import Product to WooCommerce
  7. Done! Your product is now in WooCommerce

Data Extracted

The plugin attempts to extract the following data:

  • Product Title
  • SKU/Product Code
  • Price
  • Short Description
  • Long Description
  • Product Images (featured + gallery)
  • Category

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • WooCommerce 3.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.2 or higher
