Install
This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:
wp plugin install https://github.com/the-bananaland/bananaland-consent/archive/refs/heads/main.zipNo built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.
Region-aware cookie consent for WordPress: opt-in where the law requires it (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Quebec, Brazil), opt-out with Global Privacy Control in the U.S., a light notice elsewhere. Google Consent Mode v2, real script blocking, click-to-load embeds, proof-of-consent records, and theme-level templating.
Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 8.1+. No other dependencies.
The plugin provides the mechanisms these laws call for. Whether a site complies also depends on its privacy policy, vendor agreements and configuration. Have counsel review the copy and policy for each client.
