[pgc_product_gallery_carousel]

  3. Log in to WordPress.
  4. Go to Plugins.
  5. Activate the Product Gallery Carousel plugin.

Project Structure

The plugin is intentionally small and focused so that it can be integrated into an existing WooCommerce installation without introducing a large application framework.

Development

This repository is part of my software-development portfolio and demonstrates practical WordPress and WooCommerce plugin development, frontend integration, and shortcode-based extension of an existing platform.

When extending the plugin, keep the following in mind:

  • Follow WordPress coding conventions.
  • Avoid loading assets globally when they are only required by the carousel.
  • Keep WooCommerce-specific logic isolated from presentation code.
  • Test against the current supported WordPress and WooCommerce versions before release.

Roadmap

Potential improvements include:

  • Improved responsive controls
  • Better accessibility and keyboard navigation
  • Configurable carousel options
  • Improved asset loading
  • WooCommerce block/theme compatibility
  • Automated testing and CI checks
