Employee Management Portal for WordPress

A portfolio edition of a custom WordPress employee-management plugin developed by Suresh Kumar CH. It demonstrates a role-based frontend HR portal built with WordPress/PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, custom database tables, WordPress roles/capabilities, scheduled tasks, and modular admin/frontend screens.

Highlights

  • Employee management and role-based access
  • Attendance, check-in/check-out and break tracking
  • Attendance regularization and approval workflows
  • Leave management and balances
  • Payroll and payslip modules
  • Announcements and document management
  • Employee/team-lead/HR dashboards
  • Project allocation and reporting
  • Custom WordPress AJAX handlers and database operations
  • Responsive frontend UI

Portfolio sanitization

This repository is a sanitized portfolio copy. Company branding, production domains, personal/company email addresses, and environment-specific production references have been removed or replaced. Internal hrjtek prefixes are retained as a legacy technical namespace to avoid breaking hooks, option names, database keys, shortcodes, CSS classes, and existing integrations.

Email reminder/automation code contains environment guards and should be reviewed/configured for the target environment before use. No production credentials or employee data are included intentionally.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8+
  • PHP 7.4+

Installation

  1. Copy the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate Employee Management Portal from WordPress Plugins.
  3. Configure the required portal pages, roles, and settings for your environment.
  4. Review email and scheduled-task settings before enabling notifications.
