Shelvd for WooCommerce adds everything a bookshop needs to WooCommerce. Instead of cramming book details into product descriptions, this plugin provides dedicated fields, taxonomies, and browsing features that make your books discoverable and your store professional.

Installation

  1. Upload the shelvd folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin through the "Plugins" menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Books to configure.
  4. Edit any product and use the "Book Details" tab to add book metadata.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I override the book metadata template?

Yes. Copy templates/product/book-metadata.php from the plugin to yourtheme/shelvd/product/book-metadata.php and customize it.

Does it work with WooCommerce HPOS?

Yes. The plugin declares full compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage.

Which ISBN lookup services are supported?

Google Books API (default) and Open Library API. You can choose your preferred service in Settings.
