SetG — EDO Community Portal

Private, members-only community portal for SETG's EDO-team, as a standalone WordPress plugin. Design: "Rustig" (light). UI language: Dutch.

Setup

1. Activate the plugin (Plugins → SetG).
2. Permalinks: Settings → Permalinks → choose Post name (or any non-Plain option) and Save. This makes /portal/ work. (With Plain permalinks the portal is still reachable at /?edo_portal=1.)
3. The portal lives at /portal/ (and /portal/{view}).
4. TutorLMS powers the Trainingen tab — keep it active and add courses under Tutor LMS → Courses.
5. Email uses wp_mail(); make sure SMTP is configured on the server.

Roles & access

• Members have the EDO-lid role and need approval (edo_approved) before they can enter the portal. Admins/editors always have access.
• Approve members in Users → Goedkeuren (row action / column "EDO-toegang").
• Self-registration is on by default. To switch to invite-only:

  add_filter( 'edo_registration_enabled', '__return_false' );

• Multiple roles per user: the user edit / Add New User screens show a checkbox list of roles (replacing the single-role dropdown), so an admin can assign several roles at once (Administrator included). Requires the promote_users capability.

Managing content (no code needed)

• *EDO · Opdrachten / Trainingen / Documenten / Mededelingen* in wp-admin. (Trainingen via TutorLMS courses.)
• Members who show interest in an assignment appear under EDO · Interesse (with one-click e-mail) and on the assignment's own edit screen.
• Assignment comments are standard WordPress comments (moderate via Comments).

Notifications

• Members are emailed when a new assignment or Tutor course is published.
• SETG (admin_email) is emailed on new interest and new registrations.
• Approved members get a welcome email.
• Contact-form messages go to admin_email (filter edo_contact_recipient to change the address; the member's address is set as Reply-To).
