Polylang translation strings

A lightweight, free alternative to premium "String Translation" add-ons.

How it works

Standard Polylang requires you to register strings via the pll_register_string() function in your functions.php. This plugin provides a simple UI to do exactly that without touching the code.

  1. Go to Settings > Polylang Strings.
  2. Add your String Name, Context, and the Text you want to translate.
  3. Save changes.
  4. Go to Languages > String Translations to add your translations as usual.

Installation

  1. Download the repository as a ZIP file.
  2. Upload it to your WordPress site via Plugins > Add New > Upload.
  3. Activate and enjoy.
