Generation can be triggered automatically on upload or run in bulk for all images missing alt text.

- OpenAI-powered generation — sends image URLs to OpenAI and writes the returned description as the attachment alt text.
- Polylang integration — when Polylang is active, alt text is generated for every active language. You can choose to create missing translation records or process only existing ones.
- Yoast SEO integration — updates the Yoast SEO focus-image alt field alongside the standard WordPress alt text field.
- Background batch processing — a WP-Cron job runs every 90 seconds to process images in small batches, avoiding server timeouts.
- Rate-limit handling — automatically retries requests that hit OpenAI API rate limits.
- Admin settings page — configure the OpenAI API key, model, prompt, language behavior, and batch size from Settings → AI Alt Text.
- Progress indicator — a live progress bar shows batch generation status in the WordPress admin.
