Installation

  1. Upload the resource-downloads folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
  3. Go to 'Resource Downloads' in the admin menu to configure settings
  4. Start adding resources through 'Resources' > 'Add New'

Usage

Adding Resources

  1. Go to Resources > Add New in your WordPress admin
  2. Enter the resource title and description
  3. Upload a file using the file upload area in the Resource Details meta box
  4. Set a featured image to use as the thumbnail
  5. Assign categories to help users find the resource
  6. Publish the resource

Displaying Resources

Use these shortcodes to display your resources:

Basic Grid

Shortcode Parameters

  • category - Filter by specific category slug
  • limit - Number of resources to show (default: 12)
  • columns - Grid columns: 2, 3, 4, or 5 (default: 3)
  • show_search - Show search box: true/false (default: true)
  • show_filter - Show category filter: true/false (default: true)
