Display a prominent “Better alternative” suggestion on WooCommerce product pages. The block is powered by Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) so store managers can highlight upsell products that better match a shopper’s needs.

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository into wp-content/plugins/wp-woo-better-alternative.
  2. Ensure WooCommerce and Advanced Custom Fields (free or PRO) are active on your site.
  3. From the WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and activate WP Woo Better Alternative.

Configuration

  • Create the required ACF field group (e.g. a Relationship or Post Object field) that stores the alternative product reference and assign it to WooCommerce products.
  • Populate the Better Alternative field on each product you want to enhance.
  • Optionally copy templates/block-better-alternative.php to your theme (e.g. into your-theme/woocommerce/) and customize the markup or styling to match your brand.
  • Flush any page cache so the new block appears immediately for customers.
