This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/rmccue/requests-wphttp/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Requests WPHTTP Adapter

What is this?

As just a proof of concept, I decided to whip up a plugin that replaces WP HTTP with Requests, but maintains 100% API compatibility and can live as a plugin.

This is that plugin.

How do I use it?

$ git clone git@github.com:rmccue/Requests-WPHTTP.git requests-wphttp
$ composer install
