Wishlist and Quick View actions for WooCommerce products with a clean React admin UI and a lightweight, scoped frontend runtime.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.5+
  • WooCommerce active
  • PHP 7.4+

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/gwp-product-actions.
  2. Activate GWP Product Actions in the Plugins screen.
  3. Go to Dashboard > GWP Product Actions to configure settings.

Usage

Add the shortcode anywhere:

[gwp_product_actions id="123"]

If the shortcode id is omitted on a single product page, the current product is used automatically.

Settings

The admin UI is located at Dashboard > GWP Product Actions. Available settings:

  • Enable/disable wishlist
  • Enable/disable quick view
  • Icon style (solid / outline)
  • Modal animation toggle
  • Button position (after title / before add to cart / after add to cart)
  • Primary / accent colors
  • Enable guest wishlist
  • Performance mode toggle

Data Storage

  • Logged-in wishlist is saved in user meta: gwp_wishlist_ids
  • Guest wishlist is stored in browser localStorage: gwp_wishlist_items
  • Plugin settings are stored in the option: gwp_product_actions_settings

Security

  • All AJAX requests use nonce verification
  • All REST requests require manage_options
  • Inputs are sanitized and outputs escaped
  • No telemetry, tracking, or external requests

Uninstall

Uninstalling the plugin removes:

  • gwp_product_actions_settings
  • gwp_wishlist_ids user meta

Development Notes

  • Admin and frontend scripts are built into build/
  • src/ contains placeholders for future build pipelines
  • No jQuery dependency

FAQ

Does this require WooCommerce?
Yes. The plugin is inactive without WooCommerce.

Does guest wishlist work without login?
Yes, if enabled in settings.

Can I place actions manually?
Yes. Use the shortcode where you want the buttons to appear.
