This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/rejver007/global-clock/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

WordPress shortcode plugin that renders live analog world clocks — "The Lobby" style: brass-rimmed dials on a deep green felt panel, with a small digital caption under each clock.

Default cities: London · New York · Helsinki.

Usage

[global_clock]

renders the three default cities. All attributes:

Attribute	Default	Description
`cities`	`Europe/London,America/New_York,Europe/Helsinki`	Comma-separated IANA timezone names
`labels`	derived from timezone	Comma-separated display names
`seconds`	`true`	Show the seconds hand
`caption`	`true`	Show the digital time under each dial
`format`	`24`	Caption format, `24` or `12`
`panel`	`true`	Dark felt panel behind the dials; `false` renders transparent dials that sit on the theme background

How it works

Times are computed in the visitor's browser with Intl.DateTimeFormat and the IANA timezone database, so daylight saving is always correct and the server needs no cron jobs or API keys. Assets are only enqueued on pages that actually use the shortcode.

Install

Copy the plugin folder to wp-content/plugins/global-clock and activate Global Clock in wp-admin, or:

wp plugin activate global-clock
