A WordPress plugin that seamlessly integrates the Fluent Support portal into Fluent Community, providing a unified support experience for community members.

Description

Community Support bridges the gap between Fluent Community and Fluent Support by embedding the support ticket portal directly within your community portal. Users can create, view, and manage support tickets without leaving the community interface.

Features

  • 🎫 Embedded Support Portal - Access Fluent Support directly within Fluent Community
  • 🔗 Seamless Navigation - Adds a "Support" menu item to the community topbar
  • 🎨 Theme Integration - Automatically adapts to Fluent Community's theme variables
  • 🔐 User Authentication - Support is only visible to logged-in users
  • 🌐 Internationalization Ready - Full i18n support with translatable strings
  • ⚡ Dynamic Loading - Scripts load only when needed for optimal performance

Requirements

Installation

  1. Download the plugin zip file or clone this repository
  2. Upload the community-support folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
  4. Ensure both Fluent Community and Fluent Support are installed and activated

Usage

Once activated, the plugin automatically:

  1. Adds a "Support" menu item to the Fluent Community topbar (visible only to logged-in users)
  2. Creates a /support route within the community portal
  3. Embeds the Fluent Support customer portal within the community interface

Accessing Support

Users can access the support portal by:

  • Clicking the "Support" link in the community topbar
  • Navigating directly to your-site.com/portal/support (where "portal" is your community slug)

How It Works

  1. CSMenuHandler - Adds a "Support" menu item to Fluent Community's header navigation
  2. CSFrontendHandler - Injects a Vue.js component and custom route into Fluent Community's SPA
  3. CSShortcodeHandler - Retrieves and processes the Fluent Support portal shortcode content
  4. CSHelper - Provides utility functions for URL generation and plugin detection

The plugin registers a custom Vue component that:

  • Loads the Fluent Support portal content
  • Dynamically injects required CSS and JavaScript
  • Handles the lifecycle of the support portal within the community SPA

Styling

The plugin includes custom CSS that:

  • Integrates with Fluent Community's CSS variables (--fcom-*)
  • Provides responsive styling for the support portal
  • Ensures consistent look and feel with the community theme

Troubleshooting

Support page not appearing

  1. Ensure both Fluent Community and Fluent Support are installed and active
  2. Check that the user is logged in (support menu is only visible to authenticated users)
  3. Clear any caching plugins

Styles not loading correctly

  1. Check browser console for any CSS loading errors
  2. Ensure Fluent Support assets are accessible
  3. Try disabling other plugins to check for conflicts
