This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/quandigital/wp-quan-caption/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

On Packagist as quandigital/caption:

composer require quandigital/caption
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

WordPress plugin to override the default [caption] shortcode

Usage

[caption src="IMAGEURL" width="WIDTH%"]CAPTION[/caption]
  • Although the width is specified in percentages, the shortcode creates a full class that is added to the container if width is 100 or a half class if the width is anything else.
  • If caption is empty (i.e. there is no content in the shortcode), only the images gets returned

Example
