Findings

  • high Unauthenticated REST IDOR: read arbitrary comments via quick-comment endpoints

    missing_permission_callback

Four REST routes under disciple_tools_quick_comments/v1 register with permission_callback __return_true. Class defines has_permission() for DT caps but never invokes it. update_quick_comments (GET) adds any numeric comment_id to the current user's (including uid 0) dt_quick_comments meta; get_quick_comments_endpoint / get_all_quick_comments then call get_comment() and return comment_content. Unauthenticated attackers can therefore read any site comment by ID (sensitive on Disciple.Tools contact records). Methods are also CSRF-friendly (state change via GET).

    rest-api/rest-api.php:15-45

    Recommendation

Set permission_callback to [$this,'has_permission'] (or current_user_can checks). Verify the user may view the comment's post before returning content. Use POST for state changes with a REST nonce.

WP Registry hashes the installable build and reports on that exact bytes-for-bytes copy. Embargoed findings are withheld until they are disclosed, so a clean verdict means nothing public is outstanding. WP Manifest does not audit code itself.
