Install

Download pratiks-3d-model-embedder.zip From the v1.0.0 release on GitHub, Nov 1, 2026

Upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/pratik-londhe4/pratiks-3d-model-embedder/releases/download/v1.0.0/pratiks-3d-model-embedder.zip

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Embed 3D Models

Upload GLB, glTF, STL and OBJ files and show them in posts as 3D models visitors can rotate.

Inserting the 3D Model block, uploading an STL file that is converted and shown, adding alt text and a poster, then rotating the model on the site

WordPress refuses 3D files ("Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type") and has no way to show one. Embed 3D Models lets you upload them like images, checks each file by its content, converts STL and OBJ to GLB, and adds a 3D Model block built on Google's open source <model-viewer>.
