Adds BreadcrumbList JSON-LD structured data for the WordPress core Breadcrumbs block.

Description

Core Breadcrumbs JSON-LD adds Schema.org BreadcrumbList structured data for sites using the WordPress core Breadcrumbs block.

The plugin reads breadcrumb items from the core block_core_breadcrumbs_items filter and outputs JSON-LD in the document head. It is intentionally lightweight and does not add settings screens, database tables, or front-end assets.

Installation

No settings are required.

Does this plugin create visible breadcrumbs?

No. It only adds JSON-LD structured data for breadcrumbs generated by the WordPress core Breadcrumbs block.

Where is the JSON-LD printed?

The final JSON-LD script is placed in the document head.

What happens if the same breadcrumbs are rendered more than once?

Duplicate BreadcrumbList data is removed before output.

Does this work before WordPress 7.0?

No. The plugin requires WordPress 7.0 or later. On older versions, it shows an admin notice.
