Install

The author publishes release zips, so WP-CLI can install straight from GitHub:

wp plugin install https://github.com/philhoyt/unlink-post-terms/releases/download/V1.0.0/unlink-post-terms.zip

Unlink Post Terms

A WordPress plugin that adds an "Unlink Terms" toggle to the core Post Terms block. When enabled, term links are replaced with plain text, preserving all existing block styling options.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.6+
  • PHP 7.2+

Installation

  1. Download the latest unlink-post-terms.zip from the GitHub Releases page
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the downloaded ZIP file and click Install Now
  4. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress
  5. Add a Post Terms block to any post or page — an "Unlink Terms" toggle will appear in the block settings panel
