This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/pdclark/dropbox-404/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

Searches Dropbox accounts, local directories, defined aliases for a match to the requested file. Redirects or sends the file if found, displays 404 if not.

Use by putting the dropbox-404 directory in your site's root directory and this line in .htaccess in your root directory:

ErrorDocument 404 /dropbox-404/index.php
