WordPress Calendar Events Slider Plugin

Description

  • Designed a responsive custom event slider plugin that works seamlessly with The Events Calendar plugin.
  • Absorbs the featured photo, start date, event title, and permalink of every event created by The Events Calendar.
  • Can be deployed on any WordPress page with the shortcode [calendar_event_slider].
  • Integrated the Glide.js library for smooth transitions.
  • Built to replace a similar plugin that crashed after a WordPress Core upgrade, styled identically to the original.

Installation

To install the plugin on WordPress, follow these steps:

  1. Download the plugin repository from GitHub by clicking on the "Code" button and selecting "Download ZIP".

  2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a location on your computer.

  3. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.

  4. Go to the "Plugins" section and click on "Add New".

  5. Click on the "Upload Plugin" button.

  6. Choose the plugin ZIP file from your computer and click on the "Install Now" button.

  7. After the installation is complete, click on the "Activate" button to activate the plugin.

  8. After activation, ensure that you have The Events Calendar plugin to create events. Create as many events as you want as long as there is a featured photo, start date, and a title.

  9. Use the shortcode [calendar_event_slider] in any WordPress page or post to display the event slider. Text editors and the shortcode block in Elementor can process shortcodes.

That's it! You have successfully installed and activated the custom event slider plugin on your WordPress site.
