Install

No release zip yet. The repository archive installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow:

wp plugin install https://github.com/onairmarc/rename-wp-xmlrpc/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

Make XML-RPC work if you rename the file. Some hosts block access to xmlrpc.php file making it impossible to use This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working. 1. Upload rename-wp-xmlrpc.zip using the plugin uploader 2. Visit [YOUR WORDPRES DOMAIN]/wp-content/plugins/rename-wp-xmlrpc/process.php BEFORE ACTIVATING 3. Once you have visited process.php you may activate the plugin 4. Now XMLRPC is enabled on your site. Mask the XMLRPC file for hosts who do not support or block XMLPRC
