Use it to control which custom fields gift recipients see when they claim a gift and on their account page.
Requirements
- WordPress
- MemberPress
- MemberPress Gifting add-on
If MemberPress or Gifting is missing, an admin notice explains the dependency.
Installation
- Copy the plugin folder into
wp-content/plugins/. - Activate Hide Claim Fields for MemberPress Gifting in Plugins.
Usage
- Go to MemberPress → Settings → Fields (custom fields).
- For each custom field row, use Show for Gift Claim (next to the required checkbox).
- Save MemberPress options.
- Checked: the field is shown for gift-claim signup and for users who only have gift transactions (gift-only accounts), including ReadyLaunch account display where applicable.
- Unchecked: the field is hidden in those contexts. Validation errors for hidden fields are suppressed so claim flows are not blocked.
Behavior notes
- Gift claim signup: detected via coupon/code in the request and gift-complete coupon meta.
- Gift-only users: logged-in users whose completed transactions are all gift-related (per MemberPress Gifting transaction meta) are treated like gift claim recipients for field visibility and validation.
