Manage stable Udemy coupon links and redirect visitors to the URL active for each configured path.

Description

OD Udemy Links separates links published in posts, patterns, email, and social media from changing Udemy coupon URLs.

Redirect routes are managed from Settings → Udemy Links. Each route has:

• A management name
• An access slug
• An optional fallback URL
• An enabled state

Each route can contain multiple coupons. A coupon has a destination URL, a numeric priority, an optional start and end time, and an enabled state. Lower priority numbers are selected first from coupons active at the current time.

The shared base path defaults to go/udemy and can be changed to a path such as coupon/udemy. Combined with a route slug, this creates one stable URL:

/coupon/udemy/wpbbp/

That URL redirects to the highest-priority active coupon. If no coupon is active, the route's fallback URL is used.

Settings are stored in one WordPress option. The plugin does not register public or private custom post types. No real coupon data, credentials, or API secrets are stored in this repository.

Installation

1. Upload the plugin directory to /wp-content/plugins/.
2. Activate OD Udemy Links.
3. Open Settings → Udemy Links in WordPress admin.
4. Configure the shared base path.
5. Add an access slug and one or more coupons below it.
6. Replace direct Udemy links in posts, patterns, email, and social profiles with the stable URLs shown in the settings screen.

Coupon selection

Dates are evaluated using the WordPress site timezone. Start and end times are inclusive. Udemy expiration strings such as 2026/09/09 19:03 PDT or their PST equivalent can be pasted directly into the end time field.

Different access slugs work independently. Coupons configured below the same slug share one public URL.

From enabled coupons within their configured period, the lowest numeric priority is selected. If priorities are equal, the coupon with the latest start time is selected. Empty start or end values mean that side of the period is unrestricted.

When no destination is currently active, the fallback URL from the matching path is used. An unknown path returns a WordPress 404 response.

Privacy and external services

This plugin does not call Udemy APIs and does not send administrator data to an external service. Visitors are redirected to the URLs configured by an administrator. Those destination sites may apply their own privacy policies.
