Elementor Testimonial Slider Widget

Created by @nurulanam

A custom Elementor widget that displays a beautiful, stacked-deck style testimonial slider.

Features

  • Stacked Deck Coverflow Effect: Cards are layered directly behind one another and scale down progressively to create a 3D depth effect.
  • Customizable: Allows setting initial active slide, transition speed, autoplay, colors, typography, and card width directly from the Elementor editor.
  • Responsive: Fully responsive and optimized for mobile and tablet devices.
  • Long Text Support: Quotes can be clamped to a maximum number of lines, with a "Read More" button to expand them.
  • Swiper.js Powered: Uses Swiper.js for smooth and performant touch-enabled transitions.

Installation

  1. Upload the testimonial-slider-widget folder to your WordPress wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  3. Edit a page with Elementor and search for "Testimonial Slider" in the widget panel.

Usage

  • Drag and drop the "Testimonial Slider" widget into your page layout.
  • Use the Content tab to add your testimonials (Quote, Name, Role, Avatar).
  • Adjust the layout and behavior in the Settings section.
  • Customize the look (colors, typography, spacing) in the Style tab.

Customization Notes

The slider relies on CSS scaling and Swiper's slidesPerView: 'auto' with a negative spaceBetween value to achieve the stacked effect without layout shifting. Elementor controls the base width of the cards.

Note: For the stacked effect to work properly, do not add custom margins or padding to the Swiper wrapper element.
