This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/nodethemes/nodethemes-ai-chat/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
Updates itself. It ships its own updater (Update URI header), so new versions appear under Dashboard → Updates.

Free AI chatbot plugin for WordPress.

NodeThemes AI Chat is a free AI chatbot plugin for WordPress. It answers your customers in a live chat on your website, using your own OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google Gemini API key and what you tell it about your business. Questions it cannot answer are passed to you.

Installation

  1. Download the latest version from nodethemes.com/free-plugins. You can also click Code → Download ZIP above, but the version on nodethemes.com is ready to upload as it is.
  2. In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
  3. New versions then appear in Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin.
