CI runs PHP 8.1–8.4 syntax checks and the official WordPress Plugin Check on every push. Bumping the version (header, constant and readme Stable tag) on main deploys to WordPress.org and creates the tag + GitHub Release. Changes to .wordpress-org/ (banner, icon, screenshots) or readme.txt alone update the WordPress.org page without a release (see .github/workflows/deploy.yml).
