The plugin simulates a realistic iPhone with the following features:

🚀 Installation

Method 1: Upload via WordPress Admin

  1. Download the plugin zip file
  2. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New
  3. Click "Upload Plugin"
  4. Choose the zip file and click "Install Now"
  5. Activate the plugin

Method 2: Manual Installation

  1. Download and extract the plugin files
  2. Upload the iphone-simulator folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins
  4. Activate "iPhone Simulator for Digital Literacy"

📖 Usage

Using Shortcode

Add the simulator to any page or post:

[iphone_simulator]

Shortcode Parameters

[iphone_simulator 
    app="facetime" 
    lesson="call-martin"

Parameters:

  • app - Starting app when simulator loads

    • Options: home, facetime, messages, phone, facebook, twitter, whatsapp
    • Default: facetime
  • lesson - Tutorial type to display

    • Options: call-martin, answer-call
    • Default: call-martin
  • tutorial - Enable tutorial mode

    • Options: true, false
    • Default: true
  • apps - Comma-separated list of apps to show

    • Default: facetime,messages,phone,facebook,twitter,whatsapp

Using with Elementor

  1. Edit any page with Elementor
  2. Search for "iPhone Simulator" in the widgets panel
  3. Drag the widget to your page
  4. Configure settings in the left panel:
    • Starting App
    • Lesson Type
    • Enable Tutorial
    • Available Apps
    • Container styling
  5. Preview and publish!

Settings Page

Go to WordPress Admin → iPhone Simulator to configure:

  • Default apps to display
  • Tutorial speed (slow/normal/fast)
  • Avatar style preferences

🎓 Available Lessons

FaceTime: Call Martin (lesson="call-martin")

A complete tutorial teaching users how to:

  1. Open the FaceTime app
  2. Select a contact (Martin)
  3. Start the video call
  4. Mute/unmute the microphone
  5. Hide/show the camera
  6. Use speaker mode
  7. End the call

FaceTime: Answer Call (lesson="answer-call")

A tutorial teaching users how to:

  1. Recognize an incoming FaceTime call from Martin Topp
  2. Accept the call using the green button
  3. Understand the video call interface
  4. Mute/unmute during a call
  5. End the call properly
  6. End the call

Coming Soon

  • Messages: Send a text message
  • Phone: Make a phone call
  • Facebook: Create a post
  • WhatsApp: Send a message
  • Twitter: Compose a tweet
