This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

A modern, glassmorphism-styled "Coming Soon" and maintenance mode countdown page for WordPress — logo upload, background image with dynamic color overlay, gradient fallback, live countdown, and a custom CSS field. No child theme or template edits required.

Features

  • One toggle to enable/disable — logged-in administrators always see the real site.
  • Logo and background image pickers using the native WordPress Media Library.
  • Adjustable color overlay (mask) with opacity control on top of the background image.
  • Two-color gradient fallback when no background image is set.
  • Editable title, subtitle, and footer text.
  • Live countdown in a frosted-glass card, down to the second, with a customizable "we're almost there" message once it hits zero — the site is never launched automatically.
  • Optional inline-SVG social icon row (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, TikTok, Pinterest) — no icon font or CDN.
  • Optional "Notify Me" email signup form, stored in your own wp_glco_subscribers table. Honeypot + IP-based rate limiting, CSV export from the admin area.
  • Zero external requests — no jQuery CDN, no Google Fonts, everything is bundled.
  • Custom CSS field for further styling.
  • Sends a 503 Service Unavailable header while active (SEO-correct for temporary downtime).
  • Translation-ready: English by default, Turkish translation included.
  • A glco_render_background action hook is fired right after <body> — reserved for a future companion "Pro" add-on that will offer animated backgrounds (Matrix / space / sea / clouds); no animation code ships in this plugin.

Installation

  1. Download or clone this repository into wp-content/plugins/glass-countdown.
  2. Activate Glass Countdown from the WordPress Plugins screen.
  3. Go to Glass Countdown in the admin menu and configure it.

Development

The plugin is organized as a small bootstrap file plus focused includes:

  • glass-countdown.php — bootstrap, hook registration.
  • includes/class-glass-countdown.php — admin settings screen and front-end renderer.
  • includes/class-glco-subscribers.php — subscriber table, REST endpoint, admin list/CSV export.
  • includes/class-glco-icons.php — inline SVG icons for the social row.

All options are stored under the glco_ prefix. Plugin settings are fully removed on uninstall via uninstall.php; the subscriber list is only removed if the admin opts in via the "Delete Collected Data on Uninstall" setting.

Translations

  • languages/glass-countdown.pot — translation template.
  • languages/glass-countdown-tr_TR.po / .mo — Turkish translation.

To add a new language, copy the .pot file, translate it with Poedit or Loco Translate, and save it as languages/glass-countdown-{locale}.po/.mo. Pull requests welcome.
