MilitaryCalc BAH Map — free WordPress plugin

Embed a free, interactive 2026 BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) map on any WordPress site. A visitor taps their state and instantly sees the current tax-free military housing allowance for their paygrade and dependent status — then a link to every base rate.

Powered by MilitaryCalc — free, no-signup military money calculators. Every figure is pulled from a public DoD / DTMO source.

What it does

  • Interactive BAH-by-state map (all 50 states + DC), 2026 rates.
  • Per-paygrade, with/without dependents.
  • One shortcode or a Gutenberg block — no account, no API key, no ads wall.
  • Always current: rates come live from militarycalc.com/embed/bah-map, so you never edit numbers when DoD updates.

Install

  1. Download the latest release zip (or clone this repo).
  2. WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload → activate.
  3. Drop the BAH Map block on any page, or use the shortcode:
[militarycalc_bah_map state="TX" grade="E-5" deps="yes" height="560"]

All attributes are optional — defaults are also configurable under Settings → BAH Map.

2026 BAH rates published by the U.S. Department of Defense (Defense Travel Management Office). This plugin and MilitaryCalc are not affiliated with the U.S. Government or any branch of service. See privacy and terms.
