This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.

Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:

wp plugin install https://github.com/mgt9007/mfsd-quest-log/archive/refs/heads/main.zip
No built-in updater. New versions won't appear under Dashboard → Updates. Install new releases yourself, or let Git Updater track the repository.

MFSD Quest Log Plugin

Student badge/reward system with dark gaming theme — gem badges, treasure chests, coin wallet, and Spark/Ember/Blaze RAG evolution.

Installation

  1. Upload the mfsd-quest-log folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin in WordPress admin
  3. Place the shortcode [mfsd_quest_log] on a page below the Student Portal
  4. Ensure the image assets are in the correct directories (see below)

Shortcode

[mfsd_quest_log]

Only visible to logged-in users with the student role (or administrator).

Database Tables

Created on activation:

  • wp_mfsd_badges — tracks earned badges per student
  • wp_mfsd_wallet — transactional coin ledger

Reads from existing:

  • wp_mfsd_task_progress — task completion status
  • wp_mfsd_ptest_results — MBTI type for Who Am I character

Pre-Build Tasks (from Architecture Doc)

  • [ ] Produce Week 2 and 3 badge artwork (locked placeholder works until then)

10 coins = 1 minute arcade time (configurable in admin settings)

Admin Features

  • Overview: see all students' badge counts and coin balances
  • Individual view: drill into any student's badges and transaction history
  • Tools: award bonus coins, re-evaluate badges, clear student data
  • Settings: configure coins-per-minute rate
