Automatically create a table of contents from headings in your posts.
Install
This is the repository archive. It installs, but the folder name will carry the branch suffix and updates will not flow.
Install straight from GitHub with WP-CLI:
wp plugin install https://github.com/maithemewp/mai-table-of-contents/archive/refs/heads/master.zipAdd a table of contents to the beginning of your content auto created from your the heading structure in your content. Use a custom block, shortcode, or automatically display the table of contents to the beginning of your content. Auto display before posts, pages, and/or custom post types.
If the plugin is set to auto-display the table of contents, you can override the location per-post by also adding a block/shortcode manually to that post. The post will only show the manually added table of contents.
